Art

Today's post contains some of my most sophisticated art criticism. My current scholarship takes us to the Uffizi gallery in Florence:

1) Check out how those three arrows to the chest don't faze St. Augustine at all! He just keeps on taking down what the glowing heads dictate.

2) How much do you love that Granacci felt the need to put a rhinoceros in the background? Yeah, yeah, Joseph's introducing his brothers to Pharaoh, and it's symbolic of the Israelite migration to Egypt and all that, but those dudes in the back have a rhino, for chrissakes. I don't recall that detail from the biblical account, do you? That's the kind of creativity that earned the renaissance masters the big Florins.

3) Whoa, whoa, whoa, what's going on here?!
